At the opening of Budapest’s bustling pedestrian shopping street, on Vörösmarty Square, Orco will develop a multi-level Fashion and Gourmet Emporium that stands to become the new anchor for the city’s main shopping district. With retail neighbours such as Hugo Boss, Max Mara, Byblos and Esprit and most of the city’s five-star hotels around the corner on the riverfront, the building enjoys busy pedestrian traffic all day throughout the year.
Housed in the former Budapest Stock Building, the new retail centre will be designed by French architect Christian Biecher in cooperation with a well-known Hungarian team, König & Wagner. The centre will house top names of premium retail, along with fine restaurants and coffee bars. The opening is slated for spring 2010.
